Sustainable Agricultural Programs

LightFoot Education is a New South Wales based education organisation run by Joanne Dodd, an senior agricultural ecologist and Educator. Our mission is to provide quality and engaging educational services to land owners and sustainable food producers in Southern Highlands of NSW.

For people who are concerned about food security and sustainability issues associated with the current agricultural practices in Australia, we offer a range of engaging programs that are not only fun but also help you understand the big picture. In our workshops for farmers, landholders and urban residents, we cover a range of topics including building healthy soils, farm forestry, biodiversity and conservatioon, rights and responsibility of land ownership, household gardening and vegetable production, managing corps and plants, beekeeping, animal care and the ecological aspects of agriculture.

In addition, we also regularly hold discussion forums, school activities and coordinate between landholders and researchers for collaborative research activities.
