A Yurt (or Ger in Mongolia) is a dwelling structure originally made of a wooden lattice frame with a felt covering.
They are traditionally used by Turkic and Mongolian nomads in the steppes of Central Asia. A Yurt is more home-like than a tent in shape and build and can be easily assembled and disassembled to suit the nomadic lifestyle.
The Yurts we create have been altered somewhat to suit Australian home usage, climate and landscape.
We use cotton canvas instead of felt, local timber and materials with a see-through roof cap and windows for your viewing pleasure.
Wherever possible we use local and environmentally friendly products in the creation process.
