Australia's long history of mule sing has led to boycotts of local wool products by several fashion designers and manufacturers, but little force has been exerted on textile manufacturers for the furnishings industry despite the general use of wool products. In style Contract Textile's Fabric made using wool from a new breed of Merino sheep that don't require mule sing will soon be available, through the nation's first-ever ethical wool processing agreement for the furnishings industry. However, in an exclusive agreement between leading Australian textile company, INSTYLE Contract Textiles and sheep breeding program the SRS Company Pty Ltd, local consumers will now be able to purchase non-molested wool fabric to use in commercial interior fit outs and residential interiors.
