Founded in the mid 1970s, The Australian Whale Conservation Society (AWCS) is a non-profit environmental organisation headquartered in Queensland.
Our primary goal at the Australian Whale Conservation Society is to put an end to whaling worldwide, whether it be commercial or simply just for pleasure.
Whales are beautiful animals and are important for the natural ecosystems. Killing them is a terrible action with disasterous consequences.
The Australian Whale Conservation Society also has the aim to increase public awareness of this terrible environmental crime and exposing it, so governments, organisations, companies and individuals can work together to stop whaling - once and for all.
