Victorian Indigenous Nurseries Co-operation is a not-for-profit and community owned enterprise run by a Board of Management with both paid staff and volunteers. It has been in operation for over 30 years and is passionate about local indigenous plants and habitat. Victorian Indigenous Nurseries Co-operative (VINC) propagates and supplies local native plants to local government and government agencies for bushland re-vegetation. We also supply our plants through our retail section to the local community of Melbourne like schools, community groups, landscape gardeners and members of the public.
VINC also encourages membership of the co-operative by offering discounts and special benefits to the public. Currently over 600 individuals, organisations and businesses belong to the VINC community. Our primary objectives are to supply to the local community with plants that are high in quality and are grown sustainably to promote biodiversity. VINC also demonstrates the benefits of using indigenous plants through workshop and outreach to people.
We are located on the lands of the Wurundjeri people and VINC acknowledges them as the ‘traditional owners’ of the land on which it operates. We pay our respect to Elders past, present and future.
