Title: Growing healthy food with less hard yakka!
Duration: 1 - 3 days
Where: In your community!
Growing food doesn’t need to be hard work. At Hill Top Farm we will show you how to work with nature creating more self-maintaining and lower cost food gardens. Whatever your landscape—a private or community garden, food forest, commercial orchard or small farm we will take you through the easy steps in ‘The No-Mower Food Grower’s Guide’ to retrofit or create new edible landscapes.
How long is the course?
One to three days depending on the number of design steps taken and participant levels of experience. We need three days to take participants through all the steps. These don't need to be consecutive days, and if participants are developing designs for their own properties, its better to allow time for survey and design activities inbetween each training session.
Where do you run courses?
Where ever is best for you. We just need a site where we can either create a new edible landscape or retrofit an existing one. Plus suitable facilities adjacent to the site for teaching. We can use the site for participants to learn the steps, before undertaking the activities on their own properties. It would be great if the site is one in which the whole community will benefit from the design work the participants undertake.
