Eco Rebates from Federal & State Governments

Why not take advantage of the rebates now on offer through various Ferderal and State programmes design to encourage you to switch to green energy ? Presently, there are a number of different rebates schemes on offer depending on the type of eco-friendly system you are considering.

If you install a Photovoltaic (solar panel) solar systems with output in excess of 1Kw, the Federal Government offers an $8000 rebate. In Victoria a $1500 rebate can be obtained when installing a solar hot water system whilst a similar system installed in South Australia will qualify for up to $700 in rebate. $500 rebates are provided by the WA Government for natural gas-boosted solar hot water systems and $700 for bottled LP-gas boosted solar hot water systems in areas without reticulated gas.

The Remote Area Power Supply (RAPS) Program provides rebates of up to $700 for any renewable energy power system installed instead of fossil fuel generation in off-grid areas of Western Australia. In addition, the Rural Renewable Energy Program in WA provides rebates for grid connect renewable energy power systems in specific 'fringe of grid' areas.
