Australian National Wildlife Collection
The Australian National Wildlife Collection is one of Australia’s most valuable biodiversity research resources covering birds mammals, reptiles and amphibians. The Australian National Wildlife Collection holds almost 200 000 irreplaceable and fully-documented scientific specimens of birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. The Australian National Wildlife Collection (ANWC) Foundation raises funds for conservation-related research, facilitates links with corporations, government and conservation groups, and develops educational programs. For over 30 years the Australian National Wildlife Collection (ANWC) has been the primary collection of Australian land vertebrates, including birds, amphibians, reptiles and mammals.
