The CSIRO Tropical Ecosystems Research Centre (TERC) in Darwin focuses on environmental research in the seasonal tropics of northern Australia.

For more than 3 decades our scientists have been researching issues such as:

• conservation management of natural and semi-natural areas

• tropical agriculture and horticulture

• ecology and integrated control of weeds

More recently TERC’s research focus has shifted towards delivering environmental, social and economic benefits by working in partnership with the people who influence, use and manage Australia’s tropical savannas.
