The mind and senses of all human beings are fallible and imperfect, regardless of how intelligent they are. There is no shame in this. Magicians utilise these faults to create the illusion of something impossible. My tricks will fool almost everybody unless they have studied magic themselves or I make a mistake, which does of course happen on the odd occasion. To suggest that someone is dumb because they cannot explain a magic trick is like calling a surgeon stupid because they don't understand the details of how a computer works.
