Here are the reasons which I choose to use a bamboo or wooden hairbrush.

A: The bamboo bristles, although very strong and durable, are gentle on the hair and are less likely to break your hair.

B: Whilst Synthetic hairbrushes can cause static, you will not find this with bamboo or wooden brushes

C: As wooden or bamboo brushes have wide bristles which massage the scalp, this also tends to condition the hair by evenly distributing the natural oils from your scalp towards the ends of your hair.

D: Wood and Bamboo are a natural and sustainable resource. When the hairbrush has come to the end of its life, it can be placed in the compost bin or buried to be returned to the earth for decomposing (unlike plastic brushes)

E: Bamboo is lighter, stronger and more durable than plastic

F: Bamboo is naturally antibacterial
