Here at Live Architecture, we are passionate about designing energy efficient homes. One of the key areas that we look at is to improve Climate Responsiveness for our Designs.
Cross flow ventilation is an aspect that is important component for Climate responsive homes. Windows and doors are situated to maximise cross flow ventilation, to naturally cool the building. The creation of micro-climates in areas around the building can also assist in the movement of warm and cool air.
Clerestory ventilation can also play a major role in energy efficiency. In summer, breezes can sweep through allowing hot internal air to escape through high-level windows. Vertical column movement allows air to exhaust naturally at the highest point, with cooler, low-level air drawn in to replace it.
We are also very keen on incorporating Indoor and outdoor living for a healthy and more natural designer home. We design our buildings to be very liveable, with open plan indoor and outdoor relationship and courtyards carefully oriented to maximise passive solar benefits, and renew our connection with our environment.
