The combination of 3.75ha of Chardonnay and 2ha of Semillon at Rosnay Organic Wines were place geologically by the Statham family in 1997 onto a north-facing slope of grimy loam on red earth and decaying granite.
Chardonnay is an intricate variety to construct organically. On the duration of 2005-2006, sulfur alone was applied three times, plus biodynamic arrangements and no foliar fertilizers.
The vintage was clean and yielded an exceptional excellence crop at 6 tones per hectare (39 hectoliters/ha). In line with the development of the consumer's appreciation, Rosnay Organic Wines merge 75% palate, ripe-picked Chardonnay with 25% early-picked Semillon, to provide an inspirational, lighter and more insubstantial wine.
