Dasma has been operating in the in the construction and Industrial Sectors since 1969.

In 1992, a division dedicated to waste management and recycling was established and this included the purchase of a concrete recycling machine, equivalent in size to the largest operating in Australia .

The concrete crushing facility has been a success with the recycled concrete products used in variety of applications and uses throughout the region, significantly enhancing Dasma's capacity as pro-active recycling contractor and is an integral part of Dasma’s recycling capabilities.

In 1997, Dasma Environmental Solutions was awarded the waste management contract to Latrobe City (formerly Latrobe Shire) servicing approximately 30,000 tenements Latrobe City services included kerbside collection of Garbage, Recyclables, Hard and Green waste, transfer station operation and Material Recovery Facility (MRF) for the processing of recyclables.
