Of the types of materials we process here at Geocycle, often many are designated as "waste". Most of the time, they are generally by-products associated with the manufacture of common consumer items that we use everyday.
Things like paints, lubricants, cleaners and insecticides are all considered common necessities in our modern day living. However, the important thing to consider is, by-products from their manufacture and the unused parts of these purchases all represent our constant end-use challenges for our society. Of course there is always the recycling option. However, the technology is not perfect and recycling can be impractical.
Here at GeoCycle, we recommend using these by-products as a fuel or raw material in the cement making process. This is a far more ecologically sustainable way towards waste recycling. The important thing to consider is that it gives manufacturers a "cradle to grave" solution to their product stewardship programs.
