FAWNA Wildlife Rescue

FAWNA Wildlife Rescue run wildlife rehabilitation activities in the Hastings and Kempsey local government areas (lga) were undertaken by NSW Wildlife Information and Rescue Service members.

In December 1989 a group of those members met with the aim of establishing an independent group initially in the Hastings and Kempsey areas.

It was felt at that time that the interests of injured, orphaned and disadvantaged fauna would be better served by an autonomous and totally voluntary group where funds raised in the region would stay in the region.
